Pretty in Ink Creations Policy
(Revised 2024)

​PACKAGE AND PRICING OUTLINES:​​​

​

CUSTOM COVERS:

  • BASIC COVER PACKAGE - $145

  • STANDARD PACKAGE - $235

 

FORMATTING:

  • BASIC FORMATTING - $50

  • STANDARD FORMATTING - $100

  • PREMIUM FORMATTING - $150

DESIGN PROCESS:​

​

  • Pretty in Ink Creations will send an email within ONE WEEK of obtaining the custom cover request submitted by the client stating information regarding dates in which the design process will start.

  • The current turnaround time for any design request is TWO WEEKS. If you are needing a rush job, a rush fee of $25 will incur to your invoice.

  • Once a booking date has been set, a reminder email will be sent to the client the week prior to their booking week.

  • Pretty in Ink Creations is currently only operating four days a week M - T, anything requested outside of those days are subjected to be placed on hold until the following work week or will incur a rush fee.​

OWNERSHIP RIGHTS:

​

  • Due to the nature of licensing and intellectual copyright, full payment does not enable the Client to trademark any element of a design they have not created themselves.

  • The Client acknowledges they cannot alter or edit any part of the design without permission from the Designer under any circumstance.

  • The Designer still owns the rights to all original artworks in PSD form due to intellectual copyright.

  • PSD files are not sent as part of completed pre-made or custom work.

  • All images are licensed using STANDARD licensing only. Any other licensing will be subject to additional fees being added.

 

ATTRIBUTION:​

 

Any artwork received by the Client from the Designer is required to be credited to Pretty in Ink Creations whether on social media, final products, sales platforms and/or the Client’s website.

LIABILITY:

​

  • The Client acknowledges that their approval of a design is final, and therefore takes ownership of the work created between themselves and the Designer.

  • Pretty in Ink Creations is not liable for damages of any kind, including loss of revenue, profits, business, reputation, or data, in any way related to our graphic design services. 

  • Pretty in Ink Creations is not responsible for any claim, loss, or injury based on errors or inaccuracies on our site or our clients’ written documents once the cover has been approved.

  • Pretty in Ink creations is not responsible for printing presses and final print works.

 

PAYMENT:

​

  • Prices are non-negotiable.

  • Pretty in Ink Creations does not give refunds for any service paid for or deposit made. This is non-negotiable.

  • Client agrees to pay a non-refundable initial deposit of 50% of the total cost before work begins on the project. The remaining balance is due upon approval of final book cover design and before any final files are sent out.

  • Pretty in Ink Creations will not release finished files to the client or other parties until final payment has been received. 

  • The final payment is also final approval of the project, and this contract will be considered fulfilled. 

  • Pretty in Ink Creations retains the right to discontinue, withhold, or suspend services for any account should payments not be paid for a contracted job in the order specified in this agreement.

  • Payment does not authorize the Client access to PSD files or unused concepts.

  • Prices are subject to change at the Designer's discretion.

  • Payments are made through PayPal via an invoice or via the Pretty in Ink Creations website. 

  • All other payments for services such as formatting or add-ons, can be done either via Pretty in Ink’s website or through invoicing which must be requested by the client, otherwise an link to pay via the site will be sent.

IMAGERY USAGE:​

​

  • Pretty in Ink Creations does not use AI-generated images on any design created.

  • Pretty in Ink Creations does their best to ensure that no usage of AI images are used as research on any image is done before downloading.

  • If AI imagery is used by accident as stock sites do no always state the image is AI, Pretty in Ink Creations will discuss with the client next steps to rectify.

  • If the Client refuses and still wants an AI generated image to be used, they assume full responsibility for the AI element within the design.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • Clients have until the week before their booking to cancel their booking free of charge.

  • An email the week prior to your booking is sent to allow the Client the opportunity to confirm, alter, or cancel their booking.

  • If a Client cancels once a booking slot has begun, they forfeit their deposit.

  • If a Client cancels the week or day of their booking, a $50 cancellation fee will incur.

  • Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER OR BUSINESS:

 

  • The Client acknowledges that by placing payment for package or service by the Designer they are agreeing to not post slanderous or hurtful comments on social media and/or third-party platforms that in any way may affect the Designer’s business.

  • Under The Defamation Act of 2013 any posts on social media and/or third party may be liable to legal action and may be fined under this civil law.

  • Any posts deemed slanderous from clients outside of the UK, will be dealt with similarly to clause 38a, and legal action will be taken if unfair libel is seen to have a negative impact on the business.

  • Any issues the Client may have with any aspect of the Designer must be brought to their attention so that the issue at hand can be dealt with in a timely and respectful manner.

  • The Designer promotes creating a positive work setting and will always strive to rectify any issues clients may have.

 

 

COMPLETE AGREEMENT:

​

  • This agreement is the entire agreement of all parties. No additional promises or conditions, written or oral, apply to this agreement that are not included herein.

  • These terms and conditions are non-negotiable.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to read the terms and conditions listed out by the Designer and Pretty in Ink Creation.​

  • By paying the invoice sent by Pretty in Ink Creations, you are agreeing to these terms outlined. It is also stated on the form filled in that you have to agree to these terms and by selecting yes, you have therefore agreed to Pretty in Ink Creations terms and conditions.
